Krystal Lazaro is a doctoral candidate and graduate researcher in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Krystal grew up in California and attended the University of California, Santa Barbara where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After her undergraduate program, she pursued a career in education and taught 5th, 7th, and 11th-grade English in Texas and California.
Krystal earned her master's at the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2022 and is now a licensed professional counselor-associate with a bilingual counseling certificate. Her scholarship is centered around bilingual and cross-cultural counseling and supervision, and she aims to research the relationship between mental health and physical movement through creative interventions.
