Lindsay Chichester grew up on a cattle and sheep ranch. She was a 10-year 4-H member. Chichester attended West Texas A&M University where she obtained a Master of Science in animal science, a Master of Art in speech communication. She also obtained a PhD in systems agriculture focusing on animal science, ag business, and plant, soil, and environmental science with an emphasis in meat science. Chichester became an Associate Professor in 2022, when she earned promotion and tenure with UNR. Chichester is currently the Nevada 4-H Program Leader, overseeing a program that serves nearly 40,000 youth aged 5-19, and 1100 volunteer leaders.
