Willie Curtis Ray III is a U.S. Navy submarine veteran and doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at the University of Nevada, Reno. He holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and currently serves as an adjunct psychology professor at Truckee Meadows Community College and Jamestown Community College. His professional background includes clinical counseling, teaching, research, and higher education. His primary research interests include the ontological beliefs of counselors-in-training and grief, with additional interests in counselor education, mental health, wellness, and counselor development. Willie is also a published researcher, conference presenter, children’s book author, content creator, and a recipient of TMCC’s Excellence in Teaching award.
